Straton Advanced · October 23, 2026

In short: Straton Advanced talks only to your lights — on your own network or over Bluetooth. It sends nothing to me or to anyone else. There is no server of mine, no account, no sign-in with me, no analytics and no advertising identifier.

What does not happen

What goes to your lights

The app connects directly to your lights: over your own network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) or, for the Straton X, over Bluetooth. It reads device information such as temperature and current brightness and writes your settings back — daily curves, color palettes, assignments and the time of day.

To sign in to a light, the app sends the user name and password you set on that light yourself. The lights do not support HTTPS, so the connection on your own network is unencrypted.

What is stored on your device

Nothing else. Demo mode shows built-in sample values and downloads nothing.

What Apple and Google collect themselves

Independently of the app, Apple and Google may collect crash reports if you allowed this in your device settings. If you agreed to share analytics with app developers, I receive anonymized crash reports from them that do not identify you.

During testing through TestFlight, Apple’s terms apply: crash reports and feedback you send through TestFlight are visible to me in Apple’s developer account.
